Sofia Aragon, JD, RN

Representing the Department of Health
Date Appointed: August 2006

Sofia Aragon immigrated with her parents from the Philippines to the Seattle area in the mid-seventies. Sofia is currently the Legislative and Policy Liaison for the Department of Health's Community and Family Health Division. Prior to working at the Department of Health, she practiced as a registered nurse in a variety of acute care settings in Seattle's Providence Medical Center (now known as Swedish-Providence Campus). In addition, she enjoyed being a community health nurse in a large primary care practice in Seattle's Rainier Valley. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle University and a Juris Doctor from the Loyola University-Chicago School of Law.
